In celebration of our country's independence, The Conway National Bank Fireworks Extravaganza is a must-see for young and old. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m., so feel free to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and sit under the stars to enjoy the explosion of color, which will be followed by Brad Long on the Chandler Law Firm Main Event Stage and Russell and Kristi Johnson on The Anderson Brothers Bank Family Stage.

Located underneath the cathedral arches of the historic Waccamaw Memorial Bridge, the Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union Artisans Market will be hopping with crafters from across the region, all displaying sharing and selling their work. Shop, browse and learn about the many handcrafted items and the stories of their makers.

The Opsrey Marina Boat Parade, co-sponsored by Waccamaw Bank, will take place along the beautiful Waccamaw River and be visible from the Riverfront Park area, as well as the festival grounds located underneath the Waccamaw Memorial Bridge. Boats will decorated in Independence Day fair and will be judged on theme and originality.

Join in on the fun during Riverfest's Raft Race along the beautiful Waccamaw River. Captains, Admirals and their crews are asked to follow Raft Construction Rules for their chance to win some very crafty awards including The Waccamaw Cup, The Flying Dutchman, The Bouyant Bucket, The Da Vinci, and The Mermaid.

The Rotary Club of Conway will host a "fruit scoot" across the Waccamaw River. Members of the club are selling peaches at a minimal cost of $5 for one and $20 for five, all of which will race down the river to an established finish line. Monies raised will benefit the club's efforts to support local and international projects.
